As part of the review, we don’t just want to build a new centre, we want to use the opportunity to look at the services to see if we can make any changes that will improve outcomes or improve the experience of patients.

We don’t just mean in terms of appointments being on time and improved communication, we want to look at how the individual service works at each stage of diagnosis, treatment and follow up, and whether it is working as well as it could do.

We want to hear from breast cancer patients, their families and carers.

We want your involvement in the way the breast cancer pathway is organised – how all the pieces fit together, the journey of appointments and treatment patients go through after receiving diagnosis and being referred to Mount Vernon.

We want to make sure we understand how you see that journey, if there is anything you think works really well, and if there is anything you think we might want to change to make it better for patients, based on your experience, as well as what the most important things would be for you if you were designing a new breast cancer pathway.
