About Mount Vernon Cancer Centre
The Mount Vernon Cancer Centre is a specialist cancer centre in Northwood, in North West London. It is run by East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust on a site managed by Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Hillingdon Hospitals also operates the Mount Vernon Hospital, which provides elective surgery and outpatient services on the same campus.
Mount Vernon Cancer Centre serves a population of over 2 million people from across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, North West London, North Central London, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Some patients come from parts of the country further away.
The Centre provides outpatient chemotherapy, nuclear medicine, brachytherapy and haematology as well as radiotherapy.
The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre (www.stricklandscanner.org.uk) provides specialist imaging and scanning services. Patients and families also benefit from support and information services provided by the Linda Jackson Macmillan Centre (www.ljmc.org).
