To support and advise the Clinical Board and the Programme Management Board, we have created a Patient Reference Group .

The group is made up of a number of patient representatives geographically proportionate to the patient numbers treated at Mount Vernon. This group is then supported by a small range of professionals drawn from local Cancer Alliances, the Mount Vernon Engagement team, clinicians and other specialists on an ad hoc basis.

Patient Representatives are nominated by their local Healthwatch or Cancer Alliance. If you would like to get involved, and there is a vacancy on the Patient Reference Group in your area, please contact your local Healthwatch. Current numbers of representatives and vacancies are shown in the table below. Vacancies are highlighted in yellow.

The Patient Reference Group will meet regularly and will explore the current issues and priorities within the Mount Vernon Cancer Services Review.

Meetings will be chaired by Jessamy Kinghorn, the engagement lead on the Mount Vernon review, and coordinated by members of the NHS East of England Commissioning team.
